SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use the Mail Merge feature, or when you attempt to open a saved project that has been merged with an address list, you may receive one of the following error messages:
  • Home Publishing cannot load the component required (mailmrg.dll) to perform mail merge.

    Please run Setup again to reinstall the missing components. For more information on running Setup, see Help.
    The components required to perform mail merge are not installed on this computer.

    You can edit your project, but you won't be able to print, filter, or preview all of your entries. See Help for information on running Setup.

    Mail merge cannot continue because Home Publishing is missing several files it needs. To reinstall these missing files, close your project and the program, and then run Setup.

CAUSE

These error messages occur if the following files are missing or damaged:
  • Mailmrg.dll
  • Dao350.dll
  • Dao2535.tlb

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reinstall the program in which you are receiving these error messages.

MORE INFORMATION

The Dao350.dll and Dao2535.tlb files are installed as shared components. They may be installed or updated by other application.
