OL98: Sent Date Field Does Not Import from Eudora (190425)

SYMPTOMS

You are switching to Microsoft Outlook 98 from Eudora and after converting your mail messages you notice that messages previously sent with Eudora now show in the Sent Items folder with a sent date which reads "None."

RESOLUTION

In Outlook, the sent date in the converted message is viewable in the Internet headers of a converted Eudora message. To view the sent date, follow these steps:
  1. Open the message for which you want to determine the date.
  2. On the View Menu, click Options.
  3. In the Internet Headers box, the sent date appears on the line with and immediately following an entry which reads "???@???."

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98.
