Updated versions of the ActiMates Barney software titles have been released. The most current version of the ActiMates Barney software titles is version 1.0, revision A (1.0a).

To determine the version of your ActiMates Barney software title, follow these steps:

  1. Insert the CD-ROM for the ActiMates Barney program into the CD-ROM drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key as you insert the CD-ROM to prevent the program from starting automatically.
  2. Double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop.
  3. Right-click the CD-ROM drive icon, and then click Explore.

    Barney Goes to the Circus, Barney Under the Sea, Fun on the Farm with Barney, and Fun on Imagination Island, version 1.0, contain the following root-level folders on the program CD-ROM:

    - Ensoniq
    - MsInfo
    - Sb
    - Setup
    - Title

    Barney Goes to the Circus, Barney Under the Sea, Fun on the Farm with Barney, and Fun on Imagination Island, version 1.0a, contain the following root-level folders on the program CD-ROM:

    - DirectX
    - MsInfo
    - Setup
    - Title

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. In the Open box, type the following line, and then click OK

    <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiMates\Barney

    where <drive> is the letter of the hard disk on which the Barney program is installed.
  3. Right-click the program's executable file, and then click Properties.
  4. On the Version tab, compare the file version to the file versions listed in the following table.
