SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to synchronize a Handheld PC (H/PC) or Palm-size PC (P/PC) with a desktop or laptop computer, you may receive a message on the desktop or laptop computer stating that two or more network adapters are present.

When you click OK, the H/PC or P/PC does not synchronize with the desktop or laptop computer.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the desktop or laptop computer is running Microsoft Windows 95/98, and more than one network adapter is installed in the computer.

NOTE: This behavior can also occur if you use a Network PC Card, and you connect to a docking station that contains a network adapter.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove or disable one of the network adapters, and then synchronize the H/PC or P/PC with the laptop or desktop computer.
