Appointment Times Do Not Synchronize Correctly on Handheld PC (189704)

SYMPTOMS

When you synchronize a Handheld PC (H/PC) running Windows CE 1.0 with a desktop computer configured for a different time zone, the times for your recurring appointments, events, and tasks may not be correct.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because H/PC Explorer ignores time zones when synchronizing recurring appointments, events, and tasks.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Change the H/PC time zone to match the desktop computer time zone.
  2. Synchronize the H/PC with the desktop computer.
  3. Change the H/PC time zone to the time zone you want to use.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Windows CE, version 1.0.
