MORE INFORMATION

Saving a Slide in EPS Format

To save a slide in EPS format, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure the LaserWriter 8.4.x or later printer driver is selected in Chooser.
  2. In PowerPoint, click Print on the File menu.
  3. Click From, and type the number of the slide that you want to print, in both the From and To boxes.
  4. In the Destination list, click File, and then click Save.
  5. In the Format list, click the type of EPS file that you want.
  6. Name the file and click Save.
NOTE: If you attempt to use the Apple LaserWriter 8.4.x or 8.5.x printer driver to create an Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) file from Microsoft PowerPoint 98, the process seems to work correctly, however, no file is created.

When you save as EPS, you have the option to save the file with either a Standard or Enhanced preview, or no preview at all. The Standard preview option places a 1-bit PICT header in the resource fork of the file. The Enhanced preview option places a 24-bit PICT header in the resource fork of the file.

This option will not be available if QuickDraw GX is active.
