PPT98: Slow or Medium Flash Animations Only Appear to Flash Fast (188726)

SYMPTOMS

If you set an object's Custom Animation settings to Slow or Medium Flash, and you have the Hide After Animation option selected, the animations will appear to flash at the fast setting.

CAUSE

The object is hidden as soon as the animation begins.

RESOLUTION

Turn off the Hide After Animation option by following these steps:
  1. On the SlideShow menu, click Custom Animation.
  2. Click the Effects tab.
  3. From the After Animation list, click Don't Dim.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
