This article was previously published under Q186767 SYMPTOMS
When you compose a handwritten document in Note Taker on a Palm-size PC
(P/PC), the screen may scroll unexpectedly.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you use two separate pen strokes to write a
character on the last line on the screen.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, follow these steps to disable automatic
scrolling in Note Taker:
- Tap Start, and then tap Note Taker.
- One the Tools menu, tap Options.
- On the General tab, tap the Scroll Upon Reaching Last Line check box
to clear it, and then tap OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
MORE INFORMATION
Note Taker interprets a pen stroke at the bottom of the screen as a
command to scroll the screen if you pause more than 0.75 second between
one stroke and the next. You cannot change the handwriting timer setting.
