WD98: Can't Restart Macintosh after Running Wizard (186718)

The computer fails to restart after quitting Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh
Edition, and clicking Restart on the Special menu.
Instead, the computer appears to stop responding. The mouse pointer
disappears for about 30 seconds. The screen does not redraw, and you
receive no error message.
CAUSE
This problem may occur after running a wizard in Microsoft Word 98
Macintosh Edition.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, wait for the computer to respond, and click
Restart on the Special menu again. The computer should restart as usual.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
