XL98: MS Graph Visual Basic for Applications Help Is Not Installed (184987)

SYMPTOMS

The MS Graph VBA Help file is installed when you perform an Easy Install or a drag-and-drop installation of Office 98 Macintosh Edition; however the file is not installed when you perform a Custom Install.

CAUSE

When you click Custom Install in the Microsoft Office Installer program and then perform a custom installation of Office 98, the Help For Visual Basic check box is not automatically selected.

MORE INFORMATION

To install the MS Graph VBA Help file, follow these steps:
  1. Insert the Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition compact disc (CD) and double-click the Office 98 CD icon on the desktop.
  2. In the Microsoft Office 98 window, double-click the Office Custom Install icon.
  3. In the Office Custom Install window, double-click Microsoft Office Installer.
  4. In the Microsoft Office Installer dialog box, click Custom Install.
  5. Click the triangle next to Microsoft Excel.
  6. Click the triangle next to Help.
  7. Click the Help for Visual Basic check box.
  8. Click Install.
NOTE: Clicking Easy Install or using a drag-and-drop method to perform a custom installation automatically installs the MS Graph VBA Help file.
