FP98: Netscape Does Not Display Page, System Resources Diminish (184865)

When you use Netscape Navigator version 4 or later to view a FrontPage
Web page, you may experience the following symptoms:
- Your page appears blank.
-and-
- Processor usage increases to 100 percent.
-and-
- Virtual memory usage increases to 100 percent.
-and-
- Netscape Navigator stops responding (hangs).
-and-
- An error appears indicating that your system is running low on resources
(Windows NT only).
-or-
- System performance begins to degrade.
CAUSE
Netscape Navigatior 4.0 and later do not support an apostrophe in a
hyperlink that contains an inline style.
This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:
- You are viewing the page from Netscape Navigator version 4.0 or later.
-and-
- The hyperlink reference (HREF attribute of the anchor tag) contains
an apostrophe.
-and-
- The anchor (<A>) tag contains a STYLE attribute (inline style).
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, use one of the following methods:
- Use an external or embedded cascading style sheet, rather than an
inline style sheet.
