This article was previously published under Q184688 SYMPTOMS

working Hours Per Day or Hours Per Week may be an incorrect value.
In addition, the Start or Finish time for one or more tasks may be
incorrect.

This behavior occurs when the Hours Per Day or Hours Per Week of a project
includes a decimal fraction value (such as 7.5), and you save the project

To work around this behavior, change the default Hours Per Day or Hours Per
Week to the correct value after opening the MPX file.
To do this, follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.

- Change the default Hours Per Day and/or Hours Per Week
to the correct value(s).
- Change any affected tasks' Duration to the correct
value.
