XL98: HTTP or FTP Path to Workbook Is Unchanged After Save As (184360)

In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, if you open a workbook on a Web
site by using the Address box of the Web toolbar and then save the workbook
to another location, Microsoft Excel 98 displays the incorrect path to the
workbook in the following situations:
NOTE: This problem occurs only when you open the workbook by using the HTTP
or FTP protocol.
CAUSE
The problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
- You open a workbook from a Web site by typing the Uniform Resource
Locator (URL) in the Address box of the Web toolbar (for example,
http://example.microsoft.com/MyWorkbook).
-and-
- You click Save As on the File menu and save the file to your hard disk.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, close the workbook and reopen the workbook.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98
Macintosh Edition.
