OFF98: Setup Appears to Halt and Beach Ball Pointer Appears (183759)

When you run Microsoft Office Installer, a mouse pointer that looks like a
static beach ball appears the end of the installation process. This pointer
may cause you to think that the installation process has halted.
NOTE: When this problem occurs, you are prompted to continue running the
Microsoft Office Installer or quit the program.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, click Continue to install additional programs,
or click Quit to quit the installer.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
MORE INFORMATION
Although the pointer should appear, it does not. This is not an indication
that the installation program has stopped responding; you can use the
cursor as you normally would.
