SYMPTOMS

Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server version 4.0 intermittently Blue screens with the following error:
Stop 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0x80111e54, 0x00000000, 0x00000008)
Note: The second parameter may be different.

CAUSE

There is a problem with the Modem Sharing Service driver (Modemshr.sys, filesize 91,440) that ships with Small Business Server version 4.0.

STATUS

This bug is corrected in Small Business Server version 4.0a or by installing the Small Business Service pack available at:

http://www.microsoft.com/ smallbusinessserver
