PPT98: Underline May Be Displayed Incorrectly for Rotated Text (182844)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q182844 SYMPTOMS
When you underline text within a text box, AutoShape, or placeholder in
Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition, the underline appears above the text
rather than below it.
NOTE: This behavior also occurs with hyperlink underlines.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem use the Rotate Or Flip command. To do this:
- Select the object you want to rotate.
- On the Draw menu, point to Rotate Or Flip, and click Rotate Right.
The underline will appear beneath the text.
NOTE: The Rotate command rotates the entire object. This behavior is different
from the rotate text behavior. Rotate Text, as the name implies, just rotates
the text and not the shape.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at
the beginning of this article.
