MacPPT: Animations Do Not Build When Movie Object Is Playing (182553)

SYMPTOMS

When you view your PowerPoint presentation in Slide Show view, objects that you have assigned builds do not build if a movie object on that slide is playing. When the movie object is finished playing, the objects that did not animate just appear; they do not build.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you do the following:
  • Set the custom animation play settings for the movie to play automatically.

    -and-
  • Set the custom animation play settings for other objects on the slides to build while the movie is playing.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, set the custom animation play settings for all objects on the slide to build after the movie finishes playing.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
