XL98: Hidden or Blank Rows or Columns Are Displayed in HTML File (182474)

When you view a document that is saved in the Hypertext Markup Language
(HTML) format by using the Internet Assistant Wizard outside of Microsoft
Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, the following problems may occur:
- Rows or columns that are hidden manually or with AutoFilter are
displayed.
-or-
- Blank spaces appear in place of hidden rows or columns.
NOTE: The results vary depending on the Web browser you use and the way the
data is organized in the worksheet.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, copy and paste the visible cells to another
worksheet. Then, use this data for the Internet Assistant Wizard. To do
this, follow these steps:
- Select the range of cells you want to convert to HTML format.
- On the Edit menu, click Go To.
- In the Go To dialog box, click Special.
- Select Visible Cells Only and click OK.
- On the Edit menu, click Copy.
- Select cell A1 in a new worksheet.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
- Use this new worksheet with the Internet Assistant Wizard.
