XL98: Drawing Objects Behave Differently When Clicked (182298)

In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, if you press the OPTION key, and
then click a drawing object, a Visual Basic for Applications macro that is
assigned to the drawing object does not run. Instead, the drawing object is
selected.
CAUSE
Clicking a drawing object or an AutoShape behaves differently in Microsoft
Excel 98 Macintosh Edition than it does in earlier versions of Microsoft
Excel.
STATUS
This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
