PPT98: File Preview in Open Dialog Box Doesn't Show Text, Object (182260)

SYMPTOMS

When you preview a presentation in the Open dialog box (click Open on the File menu), the preview image may not accurately represent the first slide in the presentation. For example, the preview image may not contain text, graphics, and background objects.

CAUSE

This symptom occurs if PowerPoint did not properly update the preview image the last time you saved the file.

WORKAROUND

To restore the preview image, open the file and then save it before you make any changes to the file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
