OL98: Preview Pane Won't Display Contents of Secure Messages (182175)

When Microsoft Outlook 98 receives a digitally signed or sealed (encrypted)
message, the preview pane will not display the contents of the message. You
must open the message to read it.
CAUSE
This is by design. For Outlook to apply its security procedures you must
open the message.
MORE INFORMATION
Displaying the message in the preview pane would bypass security procedures
and defeat the purpose of signing or sealing the message.
On View menu, click Preview Pane to toggle the Preview Pane on or off.

F1 key, in the Office Assistant type "message security" and click Search.
Then, click "Add security to messages".
