OL98: E-mail from Macintosh User Garbled (182004)

SYMPTOMS

E-mail messages sent by a Macintosh user via America Online and opened in Microsoft Outlook 98 are not readable.

CAUSE

Outlook does not recognize the Apple DoubleFormat Internet format.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
