OL98: (CW) Out Of Office Assistant Missing from Tools Menu (180329)

This article was previously published under Q180329 NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the
Corporate Workgroup/Other option. This option allows you to use Messaging
Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your
installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About
Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate" if you have the Corporate
Workgroup installation.
SYMPTOMS
The Out of Office Assistant command on the Tools menu in Microsoft Outlook
98 is unavailable or appears dimmed.
CAUSE
The Out of Office Assistant is a Microsoft Exchange Server service. It is
only available when the Microsoft Exchange Server information service is
included in the Outlook user's profile, and is connected to a functional
Microsoft Exchange Server.
