XL98: Extended Characters Are Sorted Incorrectly When You Use Pick From List (179578)

When you use Pick From List in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, the
order in which the data is sorted in the Pick From List box may be
different from the sorted data on the worksheet.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
- You are using ASCII characters on a worksheet.
-and-
- You sort the data in the worksheet.
-and-
- You view the sort order of the Pick From List.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
