FP98: When You Click the Hover Button Nothing Occurs with Hyperlink (179064)

This article was previously published under Q179064 SYMPTOMS When you use the Hyperlink command on the
Edit menu in FrontPage Editor to create a hyperlink for a
hover button, the hyperlink will not work in your Web browser. In other words,
nothing occurs when you click the hyperlink. CAUSE The HyperText Markup Language (HTML) does not recognize the
<Applet> tag as a source for an anchor (<A>) tag. RESOLUTION To create a hyperlink from a hover button, follow these
steps:
- Start FrontPage Editor. Open the page that contains the
hover button.
- Right-click the hover button, and then click Java
Applet Properties.
- Click Browse.
- Select the page that you want to use as the destination
hyperlink. Click OK.
If you want to link to a
bookmark, click at the end of the URL in the Link To box and enter your
bookmark information so that the link looks similar to this: - Click OK.
