FP97: Centered Form Previews Incorrectly in Netscape Navigator (178454)

When you center a form in FrontPage Editor, it does not appear centered
when you browse the page in Netscape Navigator.
CAUSE
The HTML code that FrontPage writes to center a form is not recognized by
Netscape Navigator.
RESOLUTION
To create a form in FrontPage Editor that appears centered in Netscape
Navigator, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click New.
- In the New Page dialog box, select Normal Page and click OK.
- On the Table menu, click Insert Table.
- In the Insert Table dialog box, set the following values:

Alignment Default
Border Size 0
Cell Padding 0
Cell Spacing 0
Specify Width Click to clear the check box
NOTE: If you do not specify a width, the table will conform to the
width of the form.
- Click OK.
- After you create the table, copy the form field components into the table.
- Center the form in the table, by following these steps:
- Right-click inside the table and then click Table Properties on
the menu that appears.
- In the Alignment list, select Center. Click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed
at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft
FrontPage 98.
