Mutant: Screen Is Black After Using ALT+TAB to Switch to Game (177521)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the ALT+TAB key combination to switch to another program, the screen in Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant may be black when you switch back to the game. Additionally, you may hear the elevator door open and you may be able move normally on the floor, but the black elevator door with white lines may remain on the screen.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if you are using a Diamond Stealth 64 video card.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, do not use the ALT+TAB key combination to switch to another program when Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant is running.

STATUS

DreamWorks has confirmed this to be a problem in DreamWorks Interactive, Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant, version 1.0. DreamWorks is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
