SYMPTOMS

When you use a Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro that is connected to a Creative Labs Sound Blaster sound card game port, the SideWinder Force Feedback Pro force effects may respond slowly or not work at all.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the MPU-401 interface on the sound card is not configured correctly.

RESOLUTION
