GP Fault Quitting NetMeeting During File Transfer (176388)

SYMPTOMS

If you are transferring a file while you are using a shared program in a NetMeeting conference, you may receive a general protection (GP) fault error message. or a Dr. Watson error message if you try to quit NetMeeting.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, finish the file transfer before you quit NetMeeting. To do so, click File Transfer on the Tools menu, and then click Cancel Send.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in NetMeeting 2.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
