PRJ98: Error Sending TeamStatus Message for Summary Task (176289)

In Microsoft Project, if you send a TeamStatus message for an entire project, summary tasks will not be included in the message. In addition, if you attempt to send a TeamStatus message for a selected summary task, you will receive the following error message:
There are no valid tasks selected.
Try one of the following:
-Select a different task(s), and then try again.
-Make sure that the resource assigned to the task doesn't have a
workgroup setting set to None on the General tab of the Resource
Information dialog box.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, send a TeamStatus message for each individual task under the summary task.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft
Project listed above.
