When you use a shared program in a NetMeeting conference, the shared
program may appear discolored.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because computers participating in the conference have different color palette settings.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, use the appropriate method for your version of NetMeeting:
NetMeeting 2.x
To change the Color Palette setting:
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
- Click the Settings tab.
- In the Color Palette box, click High Color (16 bit) or a lower setting.
- Click OK.
- Restart your computer when you are prompted.
NOTE: NetMeeting version 2.x supports sending only up to 256 colors across a network connection.
NetMeeting 3.x
To share a program in True Color:
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
- Click the Settings tab.
- In the Color Palette box, click High Color (24 bit), and then click OK.
- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to Internet Tools, and then click NetMeeting.
- Click Tools, click Sharing, click to select the Share in true color check box, and then click Close.
