Mutant: Ejecting Disc Causes Current Game to Become Inaccessible (175741)

SYMPTOMS

If the Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant compact disc is removed during gameplay, on a computer using Windows NT version 4.0, the game in progress may become inaccessible and all progress and inventory that has not been saved will be lost.

CAUSE

This occurs if the Attack of the Mutant compact disc is ejected before the game is exited.

RESOLUTION

Do not eject the Attack of the Mutant compact disc before you exit the game.

To return to the game, put the Attack of the Mutant compact disc back into the CD-ROM drive. If the game doesn't automatically continue, you will need to exit the game and restart it. Any unsaved games will be lost.

MORE INFORMATION

This only affects computers running Windows NT version 4.0 and has been confirmed to occur only in situations where an error message appeared on the screen that stated anything other than the following:
