This article was previously published under Q175308 SYMPTOMS
When you paste a keystroke event into a game action in SideWinder Profile
Editor, the keystroke may not be played in your game.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you paste a keystroke event that was recorded
using Keystroke Only mode into a game action that was recorded with timing
information. A time value of 1 millisecond is assigned to the keystroke.
This value can be too fast for some games to recognize.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, edit the time value of the keystroke. To do this,
follow these steps:
- Double-click the keystroke in the event viewer in SideWinder Profile
Editor.
The event viewer is located at the bottom of the SideWinder Profile
Editor window. It displays symbols for the events of the game action
currently being recorded, changed, or played.
- Use the up arrow on the Time Control box to increase the time value to
50 or greater.
The Time Control box is located in the lower-right corner of the event
viewer and is displayed only when a keystroke event is selected.
MORE INFORMATION
A time value of 50 is equal to 1/20th of a second. This value is
recognized by most games.
