3270 Emulator May Truncate Script File When Disk Full (171991)

SYMPTOMS

While you are recording a script with the 3270 applet, the applet will truncate the script file without any warning when the disk is full.

CAUSE

When recording a script, 3270 Applet does not check whether there is an error in writing the script file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 3.0 and SP1. This problem was corrected in the latest SNA Server version 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining this Service Pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
