Some Hosts Not Visible in a Chat Room (170415)

SYMPTOMS

You may be unable to see some hosts in a chat room using Microsoft Chat.

CAUSE

When the Auditorium option is enabled for a chat room in Microsoft Internet Chat Server 1.0, you cannot see any hosts that are added after you join the chat. This behavior is caused by Microsoft Internet Chat Server, not by Microsoft Chat.

STATUS

Microsoft is aware of this situation and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base when it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

When the Auditorium option is enabled in Microsoft Internet Chat Server 1.0, messages from room members go only to the hosts, and messages from the hosts go to everyone in the room.
