In Team Manager, Task properties for a recurring task will reflect a
different value of Total Work than what is shown in the Total Work field in
any view.

Recurring Task Properties reflects the value of Total Work that the first
task of the recurring task set shows as a value of Total Work, not the
value of the recurring task itself. For example, a recurring task made of
three one day tasks would reflect three days of Total Work. But in
Recurring Task Properties, a value of one day would be shown.
