XL97: Undo After Clearing OLE Object Turns Object into a Picture (167873)

SYMPTOMS

When you work with an OLE object that is inserted in a workbook in Microsoft Excel, the object becomes a picture.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the following both of the following conditions are true:

  • You are working with an OLE object in a Microsoft Excel workbook. -and-

  • You delete the OLE object. -and-

  • you click Undo on the Edit menu to restore the object.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
