SYMPTOMS

When you install the Microsoft Content Replication System, you may receive the following warning message:
The Schedule Service is already running. For CRS to operate correctly, the account under which the service runs must have administrative privileges.

CAUSE

The Schedule service has been previously configured and is currently running.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft Content Replication System requires that the account used for running the Schedule service have administrative privileges. If the Schedule service was previously configured, reconfigure the service using an account with administrative privileges; otherwise Microsoft Content Replication System will not function properly.
