PUB: HP 850/870 Driver Settings Not Shown Correctly in Publisher (165637)

When you change the default settings of the Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet
855c or 870c printer drivers in the Printers folder, the settings may
not appear correctly in Publisher. The following settings do not appear
correctly in Publisher:
Tab/Setting How displayed by Publisher

Paper Tab
Paper Size always indicates Letter (8.5 x 11)
Orientation always shows Portrait
Copies always shows 1
Ordered Printing always unchecked
Setup Tab
ICM always unchecked
WORKAROUND
These settings do appear correctly if the HP DeskJet 850c or 870c driver
is your default printer driver when you open Publisher.
- Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
- Right-click the HP DeskJet 850c or 870c printer icon.
- Click Set As Default on the menu that appears.
If the HP DeskJet 850c or 870c is not your default printer driver,
change the printer settings from within Publisher.
- On the File menu, click Print Setup.
- In the Print Setup dialog box, select the HP DeskJet 850c or 870c
driver from the Name list.
- Click Properties.
- Change the settings as appropriate, and then click OK.
