ODMA TeamLinks: Can't Open Multiple Copies of Same Document (165567)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to open multiple copies of a TeamLinks document in Word, you receive the following series of messages: 
   Do you want to revert to the saved "<filename>.doc?"

After you click Yes, the following message appears: 
   Do you want to unreserve this object?

After you click Yes, the following message appears: 
   Do you want to reserve this object?

After you click Yes, the following message appears:
Word cannot open the document.

Try one or more of the following:

* On the File menu, click Open to open the document.
* Make sure the document has a .DOC extension.

CAUSE

After you answer Yes to the "Do you want to revert to the saved '<filename>.doc'?" message, Word loses the temporary file path to the TeamLinks document.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
