PPT97: Wrong Instructions in ORK for Installing Pp7trans.dll (164580)

Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows, version 4.0 uses the Pp7trans.dll file
to open Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows 95, version 7.0 files. The
Readme.doc file is located on the Microsoft Office 97 Resource Kit
Tools and Utilities compact disc. It contains the following incorrect
instructions for installing this file:
To install the PowerPoint 95 converter for PowerPoint 4.0 (Windows
only):
- Insert the Tools and Utilities CD into the CD-ROM drive.
- In the PowerPt\Win4to95 folder, copy Pp7trans.dll to the Powerpnt
folder on the computer where PowerPoint 95 is installed.
RESOLUTION
Install the Pp7trans.dll file by running the PowerPoint Viewer setup
program, Vsetup.exe.
- On the start menu, click Run.
- In the Open box, type "Vsetup" (without the quotation marks), and
click OK.
- In the Welcome dialog box, click to clear the PowerPoint Viewer check
box.
- Click to select the Translator to Open PowerPoint 95 Files in
PowerPoint 4.0 check box.
- Click OK.
- Follow the directions on the screen.
You can find Vsetup.exe in the following locations:
- The \ValuPack\Ppt4view folder on the Office 97 or PowerPoint 97
compact disc.
- The PowerPoint viewer disk that ships with PowerPoint 7.0.

NOTE: The copy of Vsetup.exe in the \Powerpt\Viewer40 folder on the
Office 97 Resource Kit compact disc, is for an earlier version of the
PowerPoint 4.0 Viewer. It does not include Ppt7trans.dll.
