PPT97: Not Enough Memory Using Help in Run-Time Error Message (164112)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 97 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q164112 SYMPTOMS
If you click Help when you receive a run-time error while running Microsoft
Visual Basic for Applications code from the Immediate Window, you receive
the following error message:
There is not enough memory for this task. Quit one or more programs to
increase available memory and then try again.
In contrast, if you receive a run-time error while running the code from a
macro, the message box does not contain a Help button and you do not
receive the insufficient memory error message.
CAUSE
PowerPoint does not have Help topics for error messages that are generated
by running code from the Immediate Window.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
MORE INFORMATION
The Immediate Window allows you to run Visual Basic code without adding it
to a macro. To open the Immediate Window, start the Visual Basic Editor,
and then click Immediate Window on the View menu.
