Cannot use Presentation Conference between PowerPoint 97 and PowerPoint 95 (163780)

SYMPTOMS

If you try to set up a Presentation Conference between a computer running Microsoft PowerPoint 97 for Windows and a computer running PowerPoint for Windows 95 version 7.0, you will not be able to complete the connection.

CAUSE

The Presentation Conferencing feature was changed between PowerPoint for Windows 95 version 7.0 and PowerPoint 97. The two versions are not directly compatible.
