TMGR: Alert Field: No Resolve Option When You Click Alert Icon (161719)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Team Manager, you may see the alert field text when you click the alert icon, but you do not see a Resolve or a Help button.

Microsoft Team Manager does not volunteer help for non-system generated alerts that appear next to tasks in the Task Organizer view. The icon is a warning and by clicking the icon, you can see the warning text. However, you must then determine the cause of the problem. After you resolve the problem, you may need to insert the Alert field and clear the contents manually before the alert icon goes away. To insert the Alert field, follow these steps:

  1. On the Insert menu, click Column.
  2. In the Format Column dialog box, under Field Shown, select Alert, and then click OK.
