TMGR: Sorting by Priority Reverses Sort Order (161650)

When you sort a task view, such as Task Organizer, by Priority, it sorts
opposite from what you specified. Selecting the Ascending option sorts the
view from Highest to Lowest, and selecting the Descending option sorts the
view from Lowest to Highest.
WORKAROUND
When you sort a task view, such as Task Organizer, by Priority, select the
opposite of the sort order you want, as follows: - On the View menu, point to Sorting, and then click Custom Sorting on the
menu that appears.
- In the Custom Sorting dialog box, under Sort By, select Priority.
- To sort in ascending order, click to select Descending, or to sort in
descending order, click to select Ascending.
- Click to select or click to clear the Permanently Sort and Show Summary
Tasks options as desired, and then click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the
beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post
new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes
available.
