Neverhood: Randomly Exits to Desktop Without an Error Message (161131)

SYMPTOMS

While you are in The Neverhood, the program quits abnormally and returns you to the Windows desktop. You do not receive any error messages when this occurs.

RESOLUTION

Make sure that you have at least 30 MB (megabytes) of available hard disk space before you start the game.

NOTE: The Neverhood runs best when you have at least 30 MB of free hard disk space, you use the Windows the default settings, and you let Windows manage the memory.

The following is an excerpt from the Readme.txt file included on the Goosebumps CD-ROM:
   Game may not operate with less than 30mg free space on the disk,
   removing you from play and returning you to the desktop without
   warning.  Make sure you have over 30 mg available before starting
   game play.
