OL97: "Empty Deleted Items Folder" Works Only on Primary Store (161004)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Outlook 97, clicking "Empty 'Deleted Items' Folder" on the Tools menu does not empty all Deleted Items folders.

CAUSE

This menu command only empties the Deleted Items folder on the primary store. Deleted Items folders on other personal stores are not affected.

WORKAROUND

To empty other Deleted Item folders, using the right mouse button, click on the folder name, and then click "Empty 'Deleted Items' Folder" on the menu that appears.

MORE INFORMATION

To determine which is the Deleted Items folder on your primary store, click Deleted Items on the Go menu. Empty other Deleted Items folders using the procedure described in the "Workaround" section.
