SUMMARY

When you print a merged publication, you must print all pages. There is no option to print only certain pages in the Print Merge dialog box, as there is in the Print dialog box.

MORE INFORMATION

There are times when you may want to print multiple copies of a single page of a multiple-page merged publication. For example, you may want to print postcards that are all the same on one side and different on the other.

In this case, you should break your publication into two files. One file should contain the page that does not change and the other the page that does change. The following steps illustrate one method for doing this.
  1. On the File menu, click Save. Give your publication a name such as MMPage1.pub. Click OK.
  2. On the File menu, click Save As. Change the name of your publication to something like MMPage2.pub. Click OK. You now have a second copy of your publication.
  3. Go to the first page of MMPage2.pub.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Delete Page.
  5. When the following message appears, click OK:
          Delete this page?

If you delete this page, you will also delete all objects on
this page. To delete this page, click OK. To return to Publisher
without deleting this page, click Cancel.

  6. Save MMPage2.pub.
  7. Open MMPage1.pub.
  8. Go to the second page of MMPage1.pub.
  9. On the Edit menu, click Delete Page. Click OK to confirm this operation.
You now have the first page of your publication saved as MMPage1.pub, and the second page of your publication saved as MMPage2.pub. You can now perform the mail merge on one of the pages but not the other.

STATUS
