SYMPTOMS

The music played in the Nursery Room stutters. Sometimes the music does not start stuttering until you walk away from the window in the Nursery.

This occurs on some computers with older sound card drivers.

RESOLUTION

Make sure you have installed the newest version of sound card drivers available for your sound card.

The Neverhood compact disc contains updated drivers for many of the available sound cards. If a folder for your sound card is not listed in the Setup folder on The Neverhood disc, please contact the manufacturer of your sound card for the latest drivers.

See the instructions below for Changing An Audio Driver if your sound drivers are available on The Neverhood disc.

NOTE: If updating the sound card driver does not correct the stuttering, you can turn off the background music. All of the other sound effects will still be active and the animated sequences will still have sound.

To turn off the background music, do the following:
  1. Press the your keyboard ESC key. This opens the Options Menu.
