PPT97: Custom Soundtrack Stops Playing After Slide Paused (157595)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint 97 for Windows

This article was previously published under Q157595

SUMMARY

If you pause a Slide Show that has a Custom Soundtrack applied (by pressing B or W on your keyboard, for example), the music does not resume when you continue the Slide Show. The music resumes playing only when you come to a slide that has a Custom Soundtrack setting of Begin New Music, or Change Music If Already Playing.

MORE INFORMATION

The PowerPoint Custom Soundtracks Add-In is a PowerPoint Add-In that adds electronically-generated background music to Slide Shows. You can install this Add-In from the following folder on the Office 97 compact disc:
   D:\ValuPack\MusicTrk

assuming that D: is the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive.

The default Custom Soundtrack behavior of a slide is to Continue Music If Already Playing. If the music stops, this setting does not restart it. The next time you display a slide that has the Begin New Music setting, the music starts again.
